From The Telegraph:

A survey suggests that 53 per cent of consumers won’t pay more than £499 for 3DTVs, which currently retail at around £2,000.

Three dimensional television might be the latest product to be receiving all the hype, but a new survey suggests that just 1.4 per cent of consumers are willing to pay the £2,000 price tags that new sets typically carry.

In a survey for discount site VoucherCodes.co.uk, 28.6 per cent of those asked said they would like to buy a 3DTV but that current prices were far too high. More than half – 53 per cent – said that they would only be willing to pay up to £499.

While there are already brand partnerships with networks like Discovery and ESPN, that's just the tip of the iceberg. As an alternative, the two companies with 3-D TVs but without major brand-name cable partners (Samsung and Toshiba) showed off sets that could convert 2-D video to 3-D in real time.

3D: Coming To A Laptop Near You

The Asus G51J laptop has a bit of peripheral flicker - and that fades quickly as your eyes acclimatise - but otherwise it delivers

From The Daily Mail:

The latest hi-tech laptop delivers realistic 3D gaming without leaving you feeling all at sea (though the cost may make you feel a little queasy...)

Two minutes after opening Asus's G51J 3D laptop, I felt like I was operating a theme park ride. There was a queue of people watching 3D video of racers zooming round the Nurburgring, oohing and aahing and enquiring whether you really have to wear the funny glasses. My more primitive colleagues actually reached out to touch the cars. Next time, I will be charging.
